Hillhead Jordanhill Under 17's

HJRFC U17's will start their second season under the guidance of George Gallacher as
coach.
George first took over running the U17 section at the start of last season without the
benefit of any pre-season training. This season pre-season training has taken place and
in a recent discussion George said

"although there have been insufficient occasions where I have been able to conduct full
forward and back sessions. I believe they are better prepared and more cohesive as a
team than they were at this stage last year....if we win this league we could be back in the
first division by Christmas"

George's background in coaching is as follows:
Foundation and UKCC Level 1 Coaching qualifications
Level 1,2 & 3 Rugby Referee
Ex pupil of Hillhead School
Played from !st XV to Old boys and every team in between.
Played American football for 5-6 Years and won MVP and several best offensive player
awards and represented Scotland in a Scottish Allstars team. Two championship winning
team medals (one Scottish, one British )
