30th June - Final match report of season 2006/07 now posted. The

16th June - Preseason training starts on Monday 2nd July at

against West at Hughenden ko 3pm with a pre match lunch. All

RWC07 warm up games in August - against Ireland on the 11th and

30th May - U19 Player of the year. Congrats to Joe "The Staff"
Stafford who was awarded Scotland U19 player of the year at a
glittering ceremony at Murrayfield on Friday 25th May. Click

26th May - Ceilidh at Hughenden on Saturday 2nd June after the
Highland Games. Doors open 7:30pm, tickets are £5 on the door.
Spinning the wheels of steel will be our very own Vinnie (the good
looking one in the picture above).

16th May - Calling all players - 7's training and tournaments.
7's training is still going on every Tuesday and Thursday at Victoria
Park at 7pm. This will continue until at least the start of June. We're
looking for players for the squad, especially for this weekend as we
have two tournaments to take part in. Anyone who wants to be
involved please get yourselves down to training or contact Gaffer
either directly or through this site.

11th May Glasgow Highland Games

Hillhead Jordanhill are hosting the Glasgow Highland Games on the
2nd June 2007. The games are attracting some of the strongest,
biggest and best competitors to make the Glasgow International
Highland Games a fantastic event. The Games will feature
competitors from the Worlds Strongest Man competition challenging
to be crowned Champion in front of the Glasgow crowd.

In addition to the professional athletic events, we will also be
hosting a parallel event designed for rugby players. These events
will be:

The Rugby Strongman Event
Rugby Sprint King

Further details will be issued directly to the applicants.

As well as the bragging rights of being Scottish Rugby's Strongman
Champion or the Scottish Rugby Sprint King, there will be a cash
prize and supply of training kit to the winners of each of the two
titles.

We hope a number of our players will be interested in taking part in

13th March - Easter Raffle

Hills are holding an Easter raffle with prizes of the following:

Gallon bottle of whisky
Half case of champagne
Two tickets for Scotland v New Zealand in RWC2007 at Murrayfield in
September

Tickets are available from the clubhouse for all playing and
non-playing members. Each ticket costs £1 and books of 10 are
available. Raffle to be drawn on 14th April with all stubs to be
returned by 13th April.

This is one of our major fund raising events for the season and all
members are encouraged to participate.

DATE FOR DIARY - ANNUAL DINNER

The annual player's dinner will be held at Hughenden on Saturday
31st March (after the home game against Stirling County) at 7:00pm
for 7:30pm
Tickets cost £25 waged / £20 unwaged
Peter Wright (ex Scotland) and Gary Allan (ex Hillhead) will be
speaking
Bernie Mitchell (ex Carstairs) will NOT be speaking
